Dukunde Kawa Co-op - Washed - Rwanda (Filter Roast)
This special microlot was produced by 70 female farmers who own and grow coffee on small farms in the hills surrounding Ruli washing station, located in the Ruli Sector of Gakenke District, in Rwanda’s rugged and mountainous Northern Province. The women are members of the Dukunde Kawa Cooperative, who own and manage Ruli washing station where this coffee was processed.
Ruli is located 1920 meters above sea level, overlooking a beautiful landscape of rolling green hills and rich, red earth. The soil composition is ideal for specialty coffee production with a high density of mineral content from the volcanic loam the hills are situated on, imparting layers of character depth and fruit driven sweetness into the special lots that are cultivated here.
We’re delighted to bring you this stunning lot from the women producers of Ruli and look forward to each season from Dukunde Kawa as a shining example of how precise and pure this region's highest quality coffee can be.
