Welcome to Cajamarca. A small town success story of coffee producers and the surrounding citizens versus mining corporations attempting to reclaim farm land in search of gold. The united Cajamarca community recognised that concentrating on agriculture is more environmentally and socially sustainable for their region long term, while continuing to fight back against Big Mining.
The majority of coffee farms here are planted to Caturra, rarely using pesticides, selectively hand harvesting and relying on the traditional washed processing technique. If you enjoy your delicious morning coffee with a healthy dose of corporate resistance, then this is undoubtedly the micro lot for you.
We’re seeing this blend of Caturra and Colombia varieties express beautiful structure, almond and toffee apple sweetness. Fight the power!
