We’re no strangers to Rwandan coffee here at MAKER. In fact, we’re quite partial to this time of year because it means the arrival of fresh Rwandan coffees have landed in country and we couldn’t be more thrilled to bring you this year's fruits of our sourcing labour.
Known for their vibrancy and purity, washed Rwandan coffees have a special place in our hearts and ceramics. Red Bourbon is the variety of choice, processed using the traditional washed method which in this particular case presents as a stunning example of meticulous growing practices and immense processing skill.
In Rwanda it is incredibly rare to be able to source coffee that is traceable back to a single producer, so we feel very fortunate to be able to share this special lot from Marie Bedabasingwa with you at Maker.
